The Reverend Tracy Lauersen

Tracy Lauersen is our National Program Manager for the Families and Culture Commission, which has been created to help the church examine and address issues related to family violence affecting members of the church and to empower the well-being of families and women in its church communities.

A tireless advocate for women in the church, she has served on General Synod, it’s Standing Committee, our Safe Ministries Commission, and moved the motion at General Synod in 2017 that the church should undertake research into the nature and prevalence of family violence for people of faith. Lauersen led the churches family violence working group and was the founding chair of the new Families and Culture Commission. In her spare time she is a candidate in the Doctor of Ministry program at Fuller Seminary, pursuing a thesis on continuing gender inequality in faith communities

As National Program Manager, she serves our 23 church dioceses in their work of preventing and responding to family violence, with the aim that families and women in the church will be empowered to flourish.
